What Does That Vape Flavor Taste Like? 464 Named Flavors Decoded, Brand by Brand

Vape flavor names stopped describing flavors a while ago. Meta Moon, Dualicious, Fcuking Fab, Night Crawler and Sour Blue Dust tell you nothing about what is in the pod, and even honest names like Miami Mint mean something different from brand to brand. This page is the answer key. Every named flavor across the 31 brands we stock is listed with the tasting note our panel wrote when it scored the device, the brands that actually sell that name, and a link to the ranked page when one exists. The notes are pulled from our brand flavor guides at build time, so a flavor that gets re-tasted here updates here too.

Decoder ring

How to read a vape flavor name

Most flavor names follow a small set of conventions once you know them. The words below carry the same meaning across nearly every brand we stock, and the exceptions are noted.

Ice, Iced, Frozen, Icy, Chill

A cooling agent added to the base flavor. In modern disposables the cold comes from a synthetic coolant rather than from menthol, so Watermelon Ice tastes like cold watermelon, not like watermelon gum. Our mint vs menthol vs ice explainer covers the difference in depth. The same fruit without the word is the warmer, sweeter version.

Mint, Cool Mint, Miami Mint, Icy Mint, Winter Mint

These are not interchangeable. Cool Mint is the coldest and most peppermint-like; Miami Mint is spearmint-forward and softer, closer to a mojito than a blizzard; Winter Mint and Icy Mint sit between them. Miami Mint is made by 1 of our brands, which is why "what does Miami Mint taste like" is one of the most searched flavor questions in vaping. The Cool Mint vs Miami Mint comparison settles the two.

Meta Moon, Fcuking Fab, Dualicious, Night Crawler, Scary Berry, Tiffany

Deliberate mystery blends. The brand publishes no profile and the name is designed to be searched. Our notes describe what the panel actually tasted: Meta Moon reads as a light tropical candy, Fcuking Fab as a sweet fruit-candy hybrid that shifts across draws, Dualicious as two fruits fused into one, Scary Berry as a dark mixed berry with an edge. When two brands share a mystery name, the recipes are usually different; the cards above list every brand that uses each name.

Sour, Dust, Rancher, Gush, Straws, B-Pop, Blow Pop, Gummy

Candy-aisle recreations. Sour means a citric coating on top of the fruit; Dust is the powdered sour coating specifically; Rancher is hard candy; Gush is a liquid-center candy; Straws are sour sugar straws; B-Pop and Blow Pop are lollipop profiles; Gummy and White Gummy are gummy bear, with White Gummy being the pineapple-citrus variant.

Refresher, Slush, Splash, Punch, Lemonade, Bull

Drink profiles. Refresher is a juice-bar style blend used mostly by Foger; Slush is a frozen-drink texture with cooling; Punch and Splash are mixed-fruit drinks; Lemonade is tart and sweet in equal measure; Bull is an energy-drink flavor, not a fruit.

Clear

Unflavored. A Clear pod delivers vapor with no sweetener, fruit or candy at all. It exists across several brands because some users want the act of vaping without a taste.

Zero, 0%, 0mg, Turbo Zero

A nicotine-free edition of the device, not a flavor. The flavor names inside a Zero edition are the same names as the nicotine version. The REIGN BAR nicotine-free page and the nicotine content by brand guide cover which brands make one.

X, X2, Pro, Max, Turbo, 25K, 50K

Device generations and puff ratings, not flavors. "Geek Bar Pulse X Miami Mint" is the Miami Mint flavor on the Pulse X device. If you are choosing a device rather than a flavor, the flavor categories guide and the brand index are the better starting points.
